2. Schedule a solar site evaluation.
Our fee for solar site evaluations is $250 for residential and $400 for commercial. At the solar site evaluation we will:
- Measure all roof areas.
- Conduct a solar pathfinder reading to quantify the shading on the site. A shading analysis is required to receive the Minnesota state rebate.
- Determine where the balance of the systems will be located (i.e. inverter, conduit/pipe runs, tanks, etc.)
- Answer any questions about the systems and installation process.
After the solar site evaluation we will provide you with a proposal which includes roof drawings, specs of all components, schematics, and costs for all options. You will receive your report in the mail or by email about 2-3 weeks after the site evaluation.
3. Review the proposal.
After you have reviewed the proposal, sign it and return it to us with your down payment. We will begin to order the parts for your system and schedule your system installation after we receive your down payment.
4. Scheduling the installation.
Once you have signed the contract, you reserve a place in our construction schedule. A project manager will be in touch with you to schedule the installation. Typical lead times for construction are 2-3 months for residential projects and 3-6 months for commercial projects.
5. Installing the system.
The installation usually takes a few days for residential projects to a few weeks for commercial projects depending on the size and scope.
We will help you with the paperwork process to receive any state or utility rebates.
